This panel discussion is an opportunity for academics, intellectuals and all concerned people in Poland to meet with leading economists and discuss the climate crisis in the light of Catholic Church teaching. Guests will try to face the “challenge of anthropocene” – an era in which the human species affects the ecosystem of the whole Earth. They will also consider whether the new economic model proposed by the current Pope and rooted in the tradition of St. Francis of Assisi can be a response to the ecological crisis that humanity is experiencing.
