Farewell dear friend, Pope Francis<\/strong><\/p><\/h1><\/div>

On the 26th of April of 2024 the Community of Economy of Francesco came together<\/strong> to pray, discern and share, with the intention to give a \u201csee you soon\u201d to Pope Francis. The gathering was of around 1 hour and 20 minutes and had the online participation of around 100 members of our community, and many more who were together participating. This shows the impact of Pope Francis in our Community, it also shows the compromise of the young members of EoF to dream, work and continue the legacy of humanism that Pope Francis taught us.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

<\/span><\/div><\/div><\/div>

The EoF Community is a space of dialogue, a space of fraternity, a space of dream and a space of work, with the participation of members from different parts of the world (just to mention some: Congo, Costa Rica, Italy, Argentina, Poland, Taiwan, Pakistan, Peru, Mexico, Australia, Brazil, Kenya, Spain, Portugal, Venezuela, Belgium, and so many more) this gathering showed the diversity of the Community and the transversality of the impact of the call to dream and work for a fairer economy, one that puts the Human Being at the center and that takes care of our Common Home.<\/p>\n

Pope Francis called us the 1st of May of 2019, we are about to celebrate the anniversary of that call, the anniversary of the beginning of what EoF would become, and will become.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

On the 26th of April we gathered in grief to farewell a close friend, an impactful one, yet, the ambient, even with sadness, was also of hope, of compromise, of renewal.<\/p>\n

During our shared space we asked the participants to share what Pope Francis meant to them. For many, he was a light of hope, a shepherd of the poor, a living witness of the Gospel, a bridge builder, and an inspiration for humility, courage, and commitment to social and ecological justice. His words and example shaped personal journeys, renewed faith, and sparked dreams of a more inclusive and compassionate world. Through their testimonies, it was clear that Pope Francis was not only a leader but a spiritual friend and guide whose legacy will continue to inspire the Economy of Francesco.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Words make no justice for the meaningful impact that Pope had in our Community, preaching and teaching by example he showed that in a world of chaos the community holds and brings the calm, that through a smile we can make more impact than by a shout.<\/p>\n

The EoF Community has now a stronger commitment, a renewed spirit and a light that guides us. We will continue walking, because as Pope Francis told us: \u201cIf you are faithful to your vocation, your life will blossom, you will have wonderful stories to tell your children and grandchildren\u2026 It is worth spending your life to change the world for the better. Go forward! I am with you, I accompany you and I bless you\u201d.<\/p>\n
