SUMMARY:Wondering and Wandering: Writing Paths Towards a New Economy
DESCRIPTION:Call for application open for a special writing retreat\, titled “Wondering and Wandering: Writing Paths Towards a New Economy”\, which will be taking place in Lia Gård\, Norway\, from 12 to 16 June 2024. \nIt is envisioned as a learning-by-writing workshop to stimulate reflections on how to transform relationships with others and the world\, while addressing economic\, environmental\, social\, and political challenges of current times. In the retreat we encourage the participants to develop on-going writingprojects (e.g. creative writing\, poetry\, book chapter\, article\, etc.)\, or initiate new ones\, in an inspiring location (the heart of Norwegian forests\, 240 km from Oslo) and in a creative format. The retreat combines silent focused writing sessions (for an overall 13 hours) with inspirational talks\, walking in the forest\, bonfire sharing sessions\, close contact with the natural environment and meditation. \nWe aim to attract a diverse audience\, including scholars\, writers (both professional and amateur)\, students\, and anyone intrigued by writing as a means of inquiry and exploration. Our aim is to help them reconcile their faith in Christ with their vocational pursuits.\nFollowing the successful and well-organized retreat in Pollenzo\, Italy\, in 2023\, we are thrilled to inform you about the upcoming annual retreat of the European UNIAPAC organization\, which will have a special day to present the movement of Economy of Francesco for the Hungarian people. \nRecognizing that the awareness of the EoF\, we aspire to extend an invitation to a diverse group of young local entrepreneurs\, researchers\, and changemakers for this year’s retreat. The goal is to introduce them to the EoF\, its principles\, and workings\, alongside the international youth group of UNIAPAC.
