How can I access the program, updates and participants area of the 2025 event?

What is the official language of the event?

The official language of the event is English, and all plenary sessions will be conducted in English. However, as always, participants and sometimes speakers are welcome to express themselves in their own language during many moments of the event. Several sessions will offer interpretation into Italian, Spanish, French, Portuguese. Some workshops and parallel sessions will also be held in different languages, which will be indicated in the program. In addition, multilingual support is often provided by young volunteers who generously offer their help to facilitate communication.

Is there a way to get a sneak peek of the 2022 Assisi event in person?

Sure! On the EoF YouTube Channel, you can find lots of materials, but first of all, we recommend you watch this VIDEO.

I don’t have the password to access the reserved area to register for the event. What should I do?

You need to create a password:
1- Scroll down to the end of the participant’s area homepage:
2- Click on LOGIN
3- Select “Lost your password”
4- You will go to the reset password area. Once there, enter your e-mail valid and current address (preferably the one you will use to register for the event)
5- You will receive a link to create a NEW password via email
Always remember to check your SPAM folder.

I attended the EoF 2022 event and I still have the password — can I use it?

Of course, if you participated in the EoF 2022 event in Assisi, you may use the same password.

Can I update my information once my order is completed (names, receipt details, payment choice)?

Unfortunately NOT. We should cancel the order and make a new one. So please make sure all your data is correct while completing your order, to avoid delays or any other technical trouble, thanks for your kind cooperation for a smooth process.

What are the available payment methods for event registration?

At the end of the registration process, you will be able to choose between two payment options:

  • Credit/Debit Card: you will be asked to enter your card details.
  • Direct Bank Transfer: you will be provided with the bank account details and instructions to proceed with the transfer — make sure to save and record this information.
I would need an invoice as proof of expense — how can I request one?

The Foundation The Economy of Francesco is not able to issue an invoice; however, upon request, it can provide a receipt with specific details, in addition to the one automatically generated by the registration and payment system. To request this, please contact: [email protected]

The September 8th deadline has passed, but I would like to take part in the event. How can I do that?

Registrations for the FULL EVENT Pass officially closed with the second deadline on September 8.

We sincerely thank all participants who registered by the first deadline—your timely commitment was essential to the organization of the event and is deeply appreciated.
The extension to the second deadline also allowed us to welcome those who required additional time to finalize travel, participation, and visa procedures.

Additional Night – November 27
Participants holding a FULL EVENT Pass who require the extra night of November 27 may book it through the usual procedure, subject to availability.

FULL EVENT Pass – Sold Out
All FULL EVENT Passes are now sold out.
However, if you would still like to participate, you may contact [email protected] to be added to the waiting list, should places become available.

Still Want to Join?

Registration remains open until all available spots are filled, but only under the EVENT-ONLY Pass option.

The EVENT-ONLY Pass:

  • Does not include accommodation
  • Requires participants to arrange their own lodging

LOGISTIC

Where will the event take place?

The event will be held at the Centro Mariapoli Internazionale (CMI) in Castel Gandolfo (Rome).
Participants who registered with the FULL EVENT PASSES (the options that includes accommodation, meals, and participation in all activities throughout the 3-day event) will stay in accommodations near the CMI. Transportation between accommodation sites and the event location during the event will be arranged and guaranteed by the organization.

Will organized transportation be provided between the airport or train station and the event venue on November 27, 28, and 30 (arrival and departure days)?

No, transportation to and from the event venue must be arranged and covered by the participant. You can find the necessary information HERE.

I will need accommodation for the night of November 30. What should I do?

Please write to [email protected] and we will put you in touch with the organization member who can check the availability of the accommodation for the night of November 30.

Can I attend the event with my family?

Yes, of course. Adult family members will need to register using the registration form. Then, please write to: [email protected] to add the minors. If you would like to know the costs for children, please also write to: [email protected].

GRANTS

How can I apply for a grant?

There is a dedicated page: https://francescoeconomy.org/participation-grants/ .The deadline for submitting applications was June 30, but for all details we still recommend visiting this page.

What kind of costs does the grant cover?
  • Type A – Participation Grant: Provides a contribution to cover the participation fee ONLY, including registration at the 3 days event, accommodation, and meals. If you are selected as a participation grant recipient, you will receive a GRANT CODE to enter during the registration process.
  • Type B – Travel Grant: Covers partially the cost of travel. Reimbursement will be made via bank transfer after the event, upon submission of valid travel receipts

It is not possible to apply for both participation grant types.

When will we be notified about the outcome of our grant request?

July, 14 – THE RESULTS ARE IN!
Before anything else, we kindly invite all applicants to check their inboxes — including spam and other folders — and to carefully follow the instructions provided in the email you received.

We would like to warmly thank our Community — both our long-standing members and the many new ones who are joining us now. We received over 100 applications from more than 30 countries, across 5 continents. The diversity of profiles was truly inspiring. Despite the wide range of backgrounds, what united everyone was a shared commitment to building a better economy, a fairer world, and a human-centered dialogue.
The Evaluation Committee carried out a thorough and thoughtful review of all applications. We carefully read every story, every letter of recommendation, and every motivation letter. Thanks to your passion and dedication, we were able to allocate grants to support participation in the event.

If you were not selected this time, please do not be discouraged. We deeply value the work you are doing, and we warmly encourage you to apply again in the future.
If you’ve just discovered the event and are interested in joining but need financial support, please don’t hesitate to reach out — we’ll do our best to accompany you and explore possible solutions together. However, we kindly ask you to contact us only if you have no other means to cover your expenses.

VISA AND INVITATION LETTERS

How to get my VISA?

People from certain countries need a Visa to come to Italy.
You can check here: http://vistoperitalia.esteri.it/home/en and if you need a LETTER OF INVITATION, please read carefully the instructions provided in the VISA INFORMATION document.

Check with the Italian Consulate in your country if you need to apply for a VISA. You can check directly on the Consulate official website.
If you need a visa, you will have to apply for a TOURIST VISA (90 days).
Check your passport validity.
Check every document needed by the ITALIAN CONSULATE in your country (every consulate in different country ask different documentation). You can check directly on the Consulate official website. Start as soon as possible!

I don’t need a VISA, but an invitation letter for other purposes. How to get it?

Send an email asking for it, with a copy of your passport to staff@francescoeconomy.org and we’ll send you a simple invitation letter for the event.

COMMUNITY

Can you send me the list of EoF community members in my country?

Because of privacy issues, the EoF staff cannot share the list of community members. But you can see if there is an active EoF Hub in your country or region and contact them directly. See here: https://francescoeconomy.org/eof_hubs/

After the registration period closes, we will send out a communication to help coordinate those who would like to get in touch with participants from their own country.

What are EOF Hubs?

EoF Hubs are local groups of people who bring the Economy of Francesco to life in their territories. Born from the global EoF experience — especially following the 2020 event — these communities gather people, who come together to reflect, act, and experiment with new ways of thinking and doing economy locally.
