The EoF Fraternity Index: Open Call for a Researcher
The Economy of Francesco (EoF) is a global community of economists, entrepreneurs, and changemakers that promotes a youth-led, grassroots process of global and systemic transformation of the socio-economic culture and structures by rethinking economics and shaping an alternative economic vision, narrative and practices.
Since 2019 the EoF has journeyed together in the development of knowledge through its academic area, emphasizing the importance of relationships as a foundational dimension of economic life. While many traditional economic indicators focus on output, growth, and efficiency, they often overlook the quality of social interactions that sustain cooperation, trust, and collective well-being.

The EoF Fraternity Index emerges from this reflection and from ongoing dialogue with our community, as an effort to make visible and measurable the relational dimension of the economy.
At the EoF Global Event 2025, the EoF Foundation presented the Fraternity Index, a multidimensional composite indicator designed to capture the degree to which societies are characterized by fraternal relationships. Rather than treating relationships as secondary outcomes, the Index considers them as constitutive elements of economic systems.
In this perspective, the Fraternity Index is not only a measurement tool, but also an open and evolving initiative that invites dialogue, collaboration, and shared responsibility. It seeks to bring together academic insight and lived experience in order to better understand how relationships shape our economic systems and our societies. As the work continues, the Index aims to serve as a common ground for reflection and action, contributing to the development of more inclusive, cohesive, and human-centered economies.
To strengthen the Fraternity Index, the EoF Foundation invites applications for a one-year research scholarship, offering one position to support the further development of its methodological design, data collection processes, and both quantitative and qualitative analysis.
