Call for Research Proposals

The Economy of Francesco Foundation
in collaboration with
CEI – Service for the Promotion of Economic Support to the Catholic Church (SPSE)

An opportunity for research contributing to the renewal of economic thought, at the intersection of scientific rigor and social impact. The Economy of Francesco Foundation is launching an international call for the funding of two research positions. This initiative arises from the collaboration between:

  • The Economy of Francesco (EoF Academy), committed to promoting interdisciplinary research on new economic paradigms;
  • CEI – Service for the Promotion of Economic Support to the Catholic Church (SPSE), which operates to promote financial support to the Church and reflection on transparency, shared responsibility, and the common good.

The aim is to launch a research call dedicated to young researchers on topics of common interest, capable of generating both scientific knowledge and cultural, pastoral, and communication impacts. Two priority thematic areas have been identified, corresponding to two research fellowships:

  • Spiritual and narrative capital as an economic, social, and institutional resource
  • Common goods, relationships, fraternity, and care in the contemporary economy

Coordination, administration, and scientific supervision will be provided by the EoF Foundation.

Program Includes:

  • Funding for two research positions in an international and interdisciplinary environment
  • Scientific supervision within the research framework of The Economy of Francesco
  • Opportunities for academic publications and outreach activities
  • Visibility within an international network committed to developing new economic paradigms

Duration of Fellowships: 12 months (June 1, 2026 – May 30, 2027)
