Presenting… the EoF Foundation!
THE FOUNDATION:
- Is a private legal entity;
- Follows the legal framework of a Participation Foundation;
- Is governed by the Italian Civil Code;
- Is non-profit;
- Has an unlimited duration;
- Its legal headquarters are in Assisi (secondary offices may be established)
- Operates at national and international levels;
THE FOUNDATION IS ESTABLISHED under the guidance and inspiration of Pope Francis
BY:
- Diocese of Assisi – Nocera Umbra – Gualdo Tadino (Bishop Sorrentino),
- International Association for an Economy of Communion (Prof. Luigino Bruni, economist),
- Serafico Institute for the Deaf and Blind (Dr. Francesca Di Maolo, lawyer),
- joined by the Conference of the Franciscan Family (CFF) with a representative chosen in agreement with the Ministers General of the various Franciscan orders (Fr. Giampiero Gambaro, economist).
AIMS:
- Promote the common good by supporting young economists, entrepreneurs, and changemakers in fostering a global economic transformation, inspired by the ideals set forth in the pact signed between Pope Francis and young people in Assisi on September 24, 2022;
- The Foundation focuses on three areas of action: a) Study and research; b) Business and Innovation; c) Education and Culture.
ORGANS and OFFICES of the Foundation: (it is the usual organization for a foundation)
The Founders Council:
- Is the body responsible for making essential decisions related to the life of the Foundation and achieving its goals.
The Board of Directors:
- Handles the ordinary and extraordinary administration of the Foundation, except for matters reserved for the Council of Founders under the current Statute, and generally manages the Foundation’s activities.
The President and Vice President:
- The President of the Foundation, by right, is permanently the current Bishop of the Diocese of Assisi, Nocera Umbra, and Gualdo Tadino, who also holds legal representation of the Foundation (Domenico Sorrentino).
- In the absence or incapacity of the President, the Vice President (Luigino Bruni) assumes the President’s duties.
The Scientific Committee:
- It is the internal advisory body of the Foundation, providing proposals and opinions on programs and activities and defining the technical and scientific aspects of the Foundation’s plans/the coordinator will be a young member.
- Members are selected from a list requested by the Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development.
The Assembly of the Foundation:
- This is the forum for dialogue and exchange among all organs and members of the Foundation;
- It is composed of at least 70% young people, along with a representative of the Scientific Committee and a representation of Supporters;
- The following have the right to participate in the Assembly without voting rights: the President of the Foundation, the Board of Directors, the Council of Founders, the Director General, and a representative of the Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development.
The Supervisory Body:
- Oversees compliance with the law and the Statute, ensuring proper administration.
Offices of the Foundation:
- There will continue to be an executive team according to the areas of action
The Assembly of Representatives, the heart of the EoF Foundation, will always be composed of 70% young people to ensure that our large and diverse community is represented and involved in decision-making.
