“An important exchange of ideas where the Pope repeated how fond he is of the Economy of Francesco and how dear this process is to his heart.”

“A great gift” these are the first words expressed by Luigino Bruni after his private meeting on 1 February in Santa Marta with Pope Francis (Bulletin Press Room): “An important exchange of ideas where the Pope repeated how fond he is of the Economy of Francesco and how dear this process is to his heart. In the words of Pope Francis the invitation was not to stop, he clearly expressed his desire for The Economy of Francesco to move forward. EoF is a grace for everyone. This economy needs to be changed and only young people can do it.”

Bruni continues: “Pope Francis – to whom I gifted a photographic book entitled The Days of Assisi with the faces and quotes of the young participants from all over the world – reiterated his desire to meet young people next November 2021 in Assisi, as already communicated in the September 2020 Press Release. The program will be confirmed in due course, taking into account the evolution of the global health emergency. Young people are truly a priority for Pope Francis who has renewed his hope and trust in them and his great enthusiasm. His dream is to embrace them all in Assisi: every time I mentioned young people, his eyes would shine.

An encounter, therefore, that fills all the protagonists of the Economy of Francesco with joy and gratitude. We thus continue to promote the activities of the EoF global movement and to prepare together for the November meeting.
