We young economists, entrepreneurs and change makers of the world, summoned to Assisi by Pope Francis, in the year of the COVID-19 pandemic, want to send a message to economists, entrepreneurs, political decision makers, workers and citizens of the world.
Nous, jeunes économistes, entrepreneurs, acteurs de changement dans le monde, convoqués à Assise par le Pape François, en cette année de pandémie de COVID-19, nous voulons envoyer un message aux économistes, chefs d’entreprise, décideurs politiques, travailleuses et travailleurs, citoyennes et citoyens du monde.
The Belfry of the National Sanctuary of Our Lady in Aparecida will receive special lighting from this Thursday (19). The structure, which houses 13 bells, will receive the colors olive green, light brown and yellow. The action takes place in line with “Economy of Francesco”, an international online event promoted by Pope Francis. The initiative seeks ways for a fraternal and sustainable economy. The lights can be seen until Saturday (21).
Economy of Francesco young participants from 20 countries will take us on an amazing journey through their territories, cultures, experiences, local projects and calls for action.
The chocolate enterprise [ENG-ESP]: let the economy be a transforming engine of social life, creating a culture of communion, with concrete love and happiness in every single moment.
With the awareness of our limitations, we know we have done a lot in our humble way, while leaving room for future improvement [...] This would demonstrate how “open” is the innovation process on which the entire project -which is so dear to us- is based.
Our meeting in November is fast approaching! The Economy of Francesco is the economy of “where two or more are gathered…”, nobody should be alone! So let’s shorten the distance.
“Achieving harmony between the social good and the common good is fundamental. There can be no divorce or the social good prevail over the common good and vice versa. It is complex, not easy but not impossible. Well, here human relationships come to play an essential role, keeping in mind the needs, interests and motivations of each person and groups”.
Reimagining Development: Youth Perspectives for a Better World is a virtual dialogue series (28 August-25 September 2020) towards the Economy of Francesco bringing together young people from international faith-based networks and organizations, seeking to contribute to discourse and actions for a paradigm shift in development.
We take all the current tensions and challenges very seriously and with respect. We have taken them as part of our essence. Within this exercise, dialogue is fundamental. In spite of the ideological, professional and even age differences, we feel called and identified with the Pope's letter and that is where we start from.
