During the conclusion of the #EoF2022 event, the 12 thematic villages that are part of The Economy of Francesco presented a Final Statement. This declaration reflects the work and commitment of the members of these villages, and on September 24, this declaration was consigned to Pope Francis.
“Pobreza y pobrezas. Buscando claves para América Latina” es el título del diplomado recientemente concluido en América Latina, impulsado por el CELAM (Consejo Episcopal Latinoamericano) e impartido por 15 jóvenes de The Economy of Francesco, como una contribución para dar una nueva alma a la economía.
More than 100 registered participants, mainly from Latin America (Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, Ecuador and Peru) but also from Europe (Russia, Spain with Italy in the lead). In the first of the four Masterclasses organized by The Economy of Francesco in collaboration with the World Food Forum.
“The Energy & Poverty Village has been debating a way of transit to a low-carbon energy system but with no one left behind. We believe and defend a Social Green Deal, a great amount of effort towards a cleaner and more inclusive energy system in harmony with our "Common Home" as defended by Pope Francis”.
“From the Green Deal to a "Social" Green Deal: for a future where energy does not divide, does not pollute, and includes the most fragile people”. With these words, the coordination team introduced the issue of the Energy and Poverty village. We met them.
